Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Paraprofessional to provide one-on-one support within a K-12 school setting in Dearborn, MI. This contract position runs for the current school year, offering a chance to contribute directly to the educational development of students requiring individualized assistance.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized support and assistance to students with special needs in a classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and progress
• Monitor and record student performance and behavior as directed
• Assist with classroom management and support daily instructional activities

Qualifications:

• Completion of at least 60 credit hours at a college or university OR possession of a paraprofessional certificate
• Previous experience as a Special Education Paraprofessional is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners and promoting educational success
