CNC Machinist / Manual Machinist / CNC Operator

Pay: $20.00–$30.00/hour (based on experience and position)
Locations: Tulsa, Sand Springs, and West Tulsa, OK
Schedule:

• Day Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM | Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Night Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM (occasional weekends as needed)

Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking experienced CNC Machinists , Manual Machinists , and CNC Operators for several high-quality manufacturing facilities in and around the Tulsa area. These positions are ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to precision, and a proven track record of producing top-quality machined parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, drill presses, and boring mills) in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform machine setup , including loading fixtures, setting tools, selecting programs, and verifying first-part accuracy.
• Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision instruments to verify part tolerances and quality.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and part specifications to ensure accuracy and conformance.
• Troubleshoot tooling and machining issues, adjusting feeds, speeds, and offsets as needed.
• Monitor cycle times and maintain high productivity while producing consistent, high-quality components.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Collaborate effectively with other machinists, engineers, and production teams.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on machines as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a CNC or manual machining environment (Vertical Mill, Lathe, or Manual Machines).
• Proven ability to perform machine setups independently and operate with minimal supervision.
• Hands-on experience with HAAS or Fanuc controls (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and GD&T standards.
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools and mathematical conversions (fractions, decimals, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving ability and mechanical aptitude.
• Must provide or be willing to purchase basic machinist tools and a locking toolbox.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Non-smoker preferred for certain positions (insurance requirement).
• Reliable attendance, teamwork, and a positive attitude are required.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Standing, bending, squatting, and climbing for 90%+ of the shift.
• Manual handling of materials up to 50 lbs; use of lifting devices when applicable.
• Work may take place in a climate-controlled or non-climate-controlled facility depending on location.
• Safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots required at all times.
