Position Summary
We are seeking a Construction Engineer to join our Construction Administration Services team. This role involves managing construction contract administration for roadway, airport, and other heavy civil projects. You'll ensure compliance with federal funding requirements and verify that all work meets contract plans and specifications.
Under the direction of the Construction Administration Services Department Manager, you'll lead onsite inspection and testing staff while managing construction activities. Projects are primarily located in Southcentral Alaska, but future assignments may take you to other regions across the state. Expect a dynamic workload, long hours, and night shifts during Alaska's construction season-this is the perfect role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Required Qualifications:This position involves field and office work. While working in the field, this position requires knowledge of traffic control or airfield safety measures and general construction safety requirements. This position may be required to lift up to 60 lbs. unassisted. This position involves performing work outside where inclement weather may be encountered. When working in an office setting, this position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. This position may also require periodically climbing, kneeling or crouching, and reaching with hands and arms.
