ABOUT THE ROLE
\n
The Dispatcher I schedules and dispatches orders and provides excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction, minimize costs and promote company sales. The incumbent facilitates accurate and timely communication between the plant, field, customers and drivers.
\n
$40,000 - $55,000/annually + overtime
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING \n
\n - Act as customer contact for delivery inquiries and coordinate the sales order delivery process.
\n - Manage incoming internal and external customer phone calls, exercising judgment within specification of standard practices.
\n - Ensure customer understands all relevant company policies including will calls, additional products
\n - ordered and driver responsibilities.
\n - Inform customer of warnings concerning product hazards, load limits, vehicle weights and limitations.
\n - Review next day orders to ensure are correctly mapped, have accurate travel times, address and delivery instructions.
\n - Other duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER JOBS \n
This position responds to the needs of the customers in direct relation to getting Aggregate product from one location to another. Direction is given to this position by the Dispatch Manager based on orders. This position interacts with both customers, external hired trucks and internal employee operated trucks.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR \n
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
\n
Experience: 3-5 years of related experience
\n
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
\n
\n - Basic experience using computers.
\n - Experience using dispatch and trucking software preferred, but not required.
\n - Excellent oral (telephone) communication skills.
\n - Bilingual communications skills are a plus.
\n - Ability to professionally interact with internal and external customers.
\n - Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
\n - Able to prioritize work; strong organization skills.
\n - Ability to keep calm in stressful situations
\n

\n - Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
\n - Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
