Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Hotel Front Desk Agent - full-time year-round to join our team at The Sebastian Vail. This position plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle a variety of situations with professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide personalized service throughout their stay.
2. Check guests in and out efficiently, ensuring all necessary information is collected and verified.
3. Answer guests' inquiries regarding hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
4. Maintain clear and effective communication with other hotel departments, including housekeeping, maintenance, and sales.
5. Handle guest complaints and concerns with empathy, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction.
6. Manage room reservations and maintain accurate records using the hotel management software.
7. Process payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and ensure proper accounting procedures are followed.
8. Prepare and distribute reports as required by management.
9. Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and staff by following hotel policies and procedures.
10. Respond appropriately to emergencies and keep the front desk area organized and secure.
11. Inform guests about hotel promotions and upsell additional services, such as dining, spa treatments, and activities.
12. Encourage feedback from guests to continuously improve service levels.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
2. Previous experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role is a plus but not required.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
5. Proficient in using computer systems and hotel management software; familiarity with [specific software, if applicable] is a plus.
6. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
2. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks (e.g., typing, answering phones).
