Job Description

Salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements:

  • We require a minimum of 5 years of experience with relational databases, ETL processes, and data warehousing. You should possess advanced knowledge of industry-leading ETL tools such as Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services and Azure Data Factory. Strong skills in SQL programming and a solid understanding of relational database concepts are essential. Additionally, hands-on experience with Python is necessary. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, accompanied by five years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least three years of pertinent experience is required. You should be adept at collaborating with various functional groups and employees at different levels to achieve goals effectively and professionally. We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills who can handle multiple tasks within agreed timelines by effectively prioritizing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • As a Senior Data Engineer, I will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from a variety of sources into our data warehouse. My tasks will include engineering ETL automation using Informatica Cloud and Azure Data Factory, and developing and maintaining data warehouse objects such as tables, views, and security roles in MS Azure Data Warehouse and Snowflake. I will extract data from multiple sources, including databases, flat files, and APIs, processing it for placement into required storage destinations like SQL databases, Azure Blob, Azure Table Storage, Azure Service Bus, Snowflake, FTP, and APIs. Additionally, I will transform and cleanse data to ensure quality and integrity throughout the data platform, load data into warehouses while ensuring consistency and accuracy, and optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability. I will create data dashboards using Microsoft Power BI and collaborate closely with data architects, analysts, and developers to support data integration efforts. Implementing data validation, quality checks, and security measures across all databases will also be part of my role. I will troubleshoot and resolve data issues, performance bottlenecks, and ETL failures, while applying best practices for data warehousing, modeling, and ETL development. Finally, I will document ETL processes, mappings, and configurations.
