About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team for the upcoming tax season. This is a seasonal, part-time role (12–15 hours per week) , perfect for someone who enjoys helping individuals and small businesses navigate their tax filings with accuracy and professionalism.
You’ll be working with Drake Tax Software to prepare and file both individual and business tax returns while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and file individual and small business tax returns using Drake Tax Software.
Review financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures.
Identify potential tax credits and deductions to maximize client refunds or minimize liabilities.
Ensure all returns are accurate, compliant, and submitted on time.
Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates.
Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to company policies.
Qualifications
1–3 years of tax preparation experience (individual and/or business).
Proficiency in Drake Tax Software is required.
Strong understanding of current IRS regulations and tax laws .
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Strong communication and client service abilities.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines during the busy tax season.
Schedule & Compensation
Hours: 12–15 hours per week (flexible scheduling available).
Compensation: $30–$35 per hour (based on experience).
