We are looking for a dedicated Tax Preparer to join our team in San Francisco, California. As part of a boutique firm, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely tax preparation services to a diverse client base. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare individual, fiduciary, partnership, and corporate tax returns (Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S) with supporting workpapers.
  • Manage the full tax preparation process, including document intake, client communication, and detailed return preparation.
  • Perform quarterly tax calculations and assist with year-end tax planning.
  • Communicate with federal and state tax agencies as needed.
  • Conduct tax research to address complex issues and ensure compliance.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to client management.
  • Maintain a professional presence and effectively engage with executive-level clients.
  • Apply solid tax knowledge to provide strategic guidance and best practice recommendations.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite, and QuickBooks (desktop and online).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in preparing tax returns for individuals, businesses, and fiduciaries.
• Strong proficiency in tax preparation software, including Lacerte Tax, and accounting tools such as QuickBooks.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Solid knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to conduct research on complex issues.
• Detail-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under deadlines.
• Proactive approach to workflow management and problem-solving.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Outlook for efficient document handling and communication.
